Hi! I`m a stupid newbie moron - with that out of the way

I downloaded the binary *.rpm and installed it successfully on a new install of RH6.2. But when I type `startx`, I get the same old Fvwm. Also, I tried typing `mwm` but it gives an error ` can`t open display`. What am I doing wrong? Should I give up? Or just kill myself? Hmm?
