Purifiers for Linux

Hi,

On Linux OS is any sotware or tool availabel for detecting any memory leaks. In SGI OS, we have one such tool called "purifier".

If any one knows about the same which works on Linux, please let me know

I know of two freely available ones and one commercial.


Freely available


Electric Fence

Mpatrol


Commercial

Parasoft`s (www.parasoft.com) Insure++


There are probably others too. A "memory leak" search of Freshmeat would probably turn them up.

There are also dmalloc and memprof - both are freely avaliable, look for them @freshmeat
